Does school bring you back good memories? Or do you remember it as a nightmare? In my case, I consider primary school as the best time of my life. I loved my class, my friends and even my teachers. I was happy to go to school (which I thing all the children should feel. School doesn’t have to be a prison).
Secondary school (the compulsory years), unfortunately, was not as good. It was not horrible, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as primary school. Yes, I made new friends, I joined the volleyball team but I liked neither my class nor some of the subjects. But I still keep some good memories of it, like the short cartoons I’m showing to you today (homework for Arts class of two years ago)
Changeable weather
I know, the character is not a wonder, the sequences move too much and it the cartoon itself is twenty miserable seconds long…which we never thought would cost us so much to make. More than two hundred drawings are a lot of drawings, even if they are four circles with a face (and a bald head) and some clouds above.
So, don’t take it as a demonstration of my drawing abilities (I can draw something better than the bald criature of above. But I thought it would be funny. Oh, and don’t take too seriously the credits. We just wanted to add some sarcasm to it)
PS: By the way, I’m writing a post where I’ll share some of the things that help me to get inspired (and maybe can help you too
) So if you’re interested, don’t miss the next one!
Amaranth with Russian salad
I didn’t write the amounts on purpose because you can use the proportions you want. I added an equal amount of amaranth and salad and it tasted great, but it’s up to you. Some people find amaranth’s flavor too strong; I don’t think it’s strong at all (quite the opposite, I think it has got a mild and pleasant flavor. Maybe the texture is not a common one, but I don’t dislike it either) but if you’re not used to it you can try adding more salad than amaranth.
Cooked amaranth
Russian salad
almonds, chopped
tahini
Mix the cooked amaranth and the salad. Add the chopped (or powdered) almonds and the tahini. Add more salt if needed.

For me, the primary school was lovely too! Well, most of it at least. After that I have always liked school as it’s a place to learn new, but I haven’t really enjoyed it that much. It wasn’t terrible either, I just wasn’t so happy to go to school at times. I am pretty excited that high school is (almost, the graduation party in June is still coming!) done for me now, and I am (hopefully) going to start in university soon – time to meet new people, study what I am truly interested in and move to another town. Sounds quite perfect for me!:)
p.s. I quite liked the cartoon! I realised I have actually never seen your drawings, apart from one that you have on Facebook.. (I guess..)
I’m looking forward to going to university too. New place, new people, new town…sounds great to me as well:) I don’t know why, but a lot of people remember primary school as a happier time than secondary
I think you’re right, because the only drawing I’ve posted is the one I have in Facebook (well, and the one I mentioned in passing in this post : a drawing in characoal I sent for the art exchange). Maybe I’ll post something more the next time
Apaprlenty this is what the esteemed Willis was talkin’ ’bout.

I stumbled upon your blog while searching for a recipe for a lemon cake and was drooling even before I’d finished reading the entire recipe.
The chocolate ganache is just genius – as are your recipes. While I’m not vegan (yet), your blog does provide me the inspiration to change my diet. I’m ecstatic to have found a fellow secondary school student who loves to cook and take pictures!
Out of curiosity – what do you use to edit your photos?
Hi Crystal
I’m glad you liked the recipe: the chocolate ganache really gives the final touch to the cake
And I’m glad that you are finding some inspiration here too ^^ Sometimes it can seem hard to change your diet without any support. I don’t know in your case (maybe you’ve been luckier than me) but the only support I had was the blogoshpere. Although now my family got used to it, at the beginning my change in the diet was a drama, and my friends still don’t understand my choice (they think jam is too tasty) so it was important for me to find people who shared my point of view
So if you’re sure about your decision, don’t give up and go on trying
I always use Photoshop…I couldn’t live without it, he he. I organize my photos with Lightroom, and sometimes I do the more basic changes there (like the exposure or the brightness) but then I always transfer and edit them with Photoshop. Since I discovered its “actions”, it became irreplaceable
